Abstract

Recent advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) have revolutionized the field of remote sensing and Earth observation, enabling more efficient and accurate analysis of geospatial data. This paper explores the integration of AI techniques such as machine learning and deep learning into various aspects of remote sensing, including image classification, change detection, and feature extraction. We discuss the benefits of AI in enhancing the interpretation of satellite imagery, improving environmental monitoring, and supporting decision-making processes in areas such as agriculture, urban planning, disaster management, and climate change mitigation. Additionally, we highlight current challenges and future directions in leveraging AI for remote sensing applications.
