Abstract

The study of Indian art and culture, with a particular focus on Madhubani painting, offers a rich exploration of India's cultural heritage and artistic traditions. Madhubani painting, originating from the Mithila region of Bihar, is renowned for its vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and unique themes, reflecting the rich tapestry of Indian mythology, folklore, and daily life. This research endeavors to unravel the intricate threads of Madhubani painting, delving into its historical origins, stylistic evolution, and socio-cultural significance.


Through a comprehensive review of literature, qualitative interviews with artists and scholars, and analysis of artistic motifs and techniques, this study seeks to illuminate the cultural nuances embedded within Madhubani art.
