Abstract

This paper explores the performance of growth-oriented equity schemes for the period from 2013 to 2015 (3 years). The Indian mutual fund industry is developing quickly and this is reflected in the expansion in Assets under management of different fund houses. Mutual fund investment is less risky than specifically putting resources into stocks and is in this manner a more secure alternative for risk adverse investors. However, it has been watched that the greater part of the investors doesn?t know about the advantages of investment in mutual funds. NAVs of reference company schemes used to evaluate the return. The past performances of the selected schemes were calculated on the basis of Sharpe ratio. It will be helpful to the investors for taking wise investment decisions.
