Introduction to Information Retrieval Systems

Abstract
Database is a collection of Information. This information can be of various domains. To retrieve the information needed at the instinct requires a proper mechanism, this mechanism is known as Information Retrieval System. The paper considers the World Wide Web as its Database and discusses the Information Retrieval System in the same context.
