Abstract
This brief discussion on gauge theory is about the invariance of Lagrangian under an abelian gauge transformation.The term responsible for interactions appears in covariant derivative in the Lagrangian which is needed toensure its invariance. Electromagnetic four field tensor and potential appear as the consequences of this invariance.
