Abstract

The rapid expansion of cloud computing services has brought about unprecedented opportunities for businesses and organizations. However, this growth has also introduced significant security challenges. Cloud environments, with their dynamic and distributed nature, are particularly susceptible to a range of cyber threats, including data breaches, malware attacks, and DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks. Traditional security measures often fall short in addressing the complexities of cloud security due to the scale, elasticity, and multi-tenant characteristics of cloud platforms. Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers promising solutions for enhancing cloud security by providing real-time threat detection, automated responses, and predictive analytics. This paper explores the role of AI in safeguarding cloud infrastructures, delves into the various AI-powered security techniques, and highlights their applications in the detection and mitigation of cyber threats in cloud environments.
